About the Project

JKS is implementing a project focused on Child Protection, Education, and Community Development in Rayagada district, Odisha.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead the overall planning, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of the project.

Position: Project Manager

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead overall planning and implementation of the project.
• Develop comprehensive project plans including activities, timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Ensure efficient utilization of resources and adherence to approved plans.
• Manage and guide field teams to ensure timely achievement of project targets.
• Support and supervise Community Facilitators for smooth execution of activities.
• Monitor progress and ensure quality implementation of all project components.
• Maintain strong relationships with duty bearers, stakeholders, and government departments such as Education, ICDS, Health, and PRIs at block and district levels.
• Represent JKS at external meetings, forums, and coordination platforms.
• Organize awareness campaigns, community events, and stakeholder consultations.
• Ensure timely internal and external reporting (programmatic and financial).
• Strengthen visibility, communication, and documentation of project outcomes.
• Build capacity of local institutions and stakeholders to ensure sustainability and long-term impact.

Qualification & Experience

• MSW or relevant postgraduate qualification in Social Work / Rural Development / Development Studies or related field.
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in the NGO / development sector.
• Proven experience in Education, Child Protection, Community Development/Rural Development
• Strong experience in managing multi-stakeholder projects and leading field teams.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve measurable results in community-based programs.
• Experience in government liaison and coordination.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Familiarity with Odiya language is required.

Work Location

The position is based in Rayagada, Odisha.

The candidate must be willing to travel to project villages for field monitoring, supervision, and coordination.

Compensation

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, as per organizational norms.
