Consultant (Programme Monitoring), Central Leprosy Division (MoH&FW)

National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC), New Delhi on behalf of Ministry of Health
& Family Welfare (MoHFW) is seeking applications from qualified candidates for the abovementioned post purely on contractual basis.
Background and Objectives
The National Leprosy Eradication Programme (NLEP), under the Ministry of Health & Family
Welfare (MoHFW), aims to achieve a Leprosy-Free India by 2027 through the effective
implementation of targeted interventions under the National Health Mission (NHM). The
Consultant (Programme Monitoring) will provide technical and programmatic support to
strengthen the monitoring and evaluation processes within NLEP, ensuring alignment with
the National Strategic Plan & Roadmap 2023-2027.

Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the preparation of the Annual Plan for NLEP at the central level, including the
consolidation of activities, budget requirements, and timelines.
2. Compile, analyse, and evaluate epidemiological data and related information from
States/UTs for informed decision-making and program planning.
3. Identify patterns, trends, and gaps to contribute to the improvement of NLEP
interventions.
4. Scrutinize the Annual Plans (PIPs) received from States/UTs.
5. Assist all policy level and VIP related matters.
6. Coordinate with States/UTs for the submission of monthly progress updates and
handle related correspondence.
7. Assist in managing all activities related to the Technical Resource Group (TRG) for
NLEP.
8. Coordinate with the TRG to ensure that technical guidance and support are provided
effectively to States/UTs.
9. Develop and prepare various types of epidemiological maps representing States and
Districts to aid in the visualization and interpretation of data. 

 

Eligibility and Experience:
1. MBBS with MPH, BDS with MPH or MD in Community Medicine
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in program monitoring and evaluation, with at least
1 year of experience working with government health programs at the national or state
level.
3. Experience in handling and analysing epidemiological data and health information
systems.
4. Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
5. Field visits to States/UTs as required.
Age Limit: Up to 55 years as of the last date for receiving applications, with good health to
undertake field visits.

Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 1,20,000/- (Consolidated)
