Job Description
The fellowship places young graduates in real-world social and governance challenges across rural and urban India. Fellows work closely with district administration, frontline workers, community leaders, and partner organizations. The journey emphasizes self-awareness, nation-building, and systems change through a structured cycle of Plan–Act–Reflect. Fellows develop leadership capacity by owning responsibilities, navigating ambiguity, and driving measurable impact on ground-level challenges in sectors such as education, health, water, livelihoods, and governance.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Fellows plan and implement grassroots interventions in partnership with communities and local administration.
- They engage with district officials, block officers, panchayats, frontline workers, and citizens to improve systems and service delivery.
- They analyze field data, reflect on outcomes, and continuously adapt strategies.
- They collaborate with peers across sectors such as health, education, water, and livelihoods.
- They contribute to fundraising, policy influence, public system strengthening, and organizational outcomes.
- They actively practice leadership of self, people, and programs while navigating complex real-world challenges.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Applicants must be graduates or completing their degree by June 2026 with a minimum cumulative score of 55% across 10th, 12th, graduation, and post-graduation if applicable.
- Age eligibility is up to 25 years.
- Candidates aged 26–29 must have at least one year of full-time work experience.
- Candidates who previously joined but did not complete the Gandhi Fellowship are not eligible to apply
